I. 12368 Litigation Service Platform

. Telephone litigation service: parties can call 12368 to contact the judge, inquire cases, consult litigation matters, and make suggestions or complaints about the work of the court.

. Online litigation service: Through official website of the Shanghai Court Litigation Service (www.hshfy.sh.cn) and Shanghai Maritime Court, parties can check the password by the case, transfer materials, deliver documents, investigate cases, contact judges, etc. Litigation service such as online filing, online message, and self-service inquiry for the litigation procedure is provided to the public.

. SMS litigation service: court sends SMS via 12368 to inform the parties execution process node information such as court trial time, trial limit changes, procedure changes, and enforcement measures; court also sends the notice of appearance, certificate of service, notice of acceptance, notice of receiving the judgment, notice of the members of the collegial panel, etc. to the parties via SMS.

. WeChat litigation service: court provides the court judicial information to the public with the "Shanghai Court 12368" WeChat account.

. Window litigation service: court provides litigation service such as referral, case filing, consultation, mediation, judicial assistance, Q&A after judgment, litigation matters, and petition reception.

 

II. Diversified dispute resolution mechanism

. Pre-litigation mediation: for maritime disputes with relatively simple facts and clear responsibilities, the parties can apply to the court for pre-litigation mediation.

. Special mediation: parties may choose Shanghai Commercial Mediation Center or China Maritime Arbitration Commission Shanghai Sub-commission to mediate the case before the appeal.
